Funder and Investor Tour of
Downeast Farms and Fisheries
Wednesday, October 29 – Thursday, October 30, 2014
Please save the dates for a two-day visit to Downeast Maine designed specifically for funders and investors interested in Maine’s farming and fishing economy. This bus tour offers a chance to learn from and exchange ideas with colleagues in philanthropy and investing who share an interest in the Downeast natural resource-based economy. Stops at farms and fisheries businesses and non-profits will showcase new ways of producing, processing, marketing and distributing farm and fish products, and panel conversations will highlight new funding mechanisms serving these sectors. You will also enjoy an overnight at Cobscook Community Learning Center’s new Heartwood Lodge and meals featuring local products.
The tour will depart from Portland with stops along the way. Further information and registration details to come. Please mark your calendars now!
