Slow Money Maine will host its 3rd annual daylong gathering in Belfast on November 15th, from 8:30-4:00.
We’ll offer opportunities to hear food system presentations from new or established businesses and nonprofits in varied regions of the state and have ample time for networking. In the morning session, Dorothy Suput will speak about building farmer capacity in New England and John Sharood will share SMM’s work in creating a statewide ag-focused credit union.
Afternoon options will include informal conversations related to Crowd Funding, Getting Farmers on our Farms and Expanding Grain Growing in Maine along with tours of Bahner Farm and Coastal Farms and Foods Processing facility. We’ll also offer a delicious lunch from Local Sprouts!!
